About Me
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I trained at Roehampton University and have a Masters degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
As an integrative practitioner, I understand and draw on a number of therapeutic approaches meaning that I am able to offer you an individual and flexible approach.
I work with individuals who are over the age of 18 and have met with people from different walks of life who have experienced a wide range of problems.
These include anxiety, overwhelm and perfectionism as well as relationship and identity issues. In addition to my private practice, I have worked within the NHS in primary care and with older adults in a charity setting.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework. I am fully insured, undertake regular supervision and am committed to keeping my knowledge and skills up to date by engaging in continuing professional development, as required by the BACP. I am also a Bupa recognised healthcare provider.
Before training as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I had a career in cancer research, specialising in molecular cell biology. Alongside working in the lab, I volunteered as a Samaritan and it was this which led me to think about changing my career when the opportunity presented itself. In my free time, I enjoy writing, yoga and spending time in nature.
